Originally designed by one of our artists in 1975, our solid brass dooknocker is an extremely popular and practical heraldic item.
The Brass doorknocker is handpolished, sealed with a baked high gloss laquer designed to enducre the rigours of the Australian outdoors. To assist in the mounting, there are two 1/4inch holes tapped into the back of the doorknocker, so when it is mounted on the front door, there is no visible signs of the mounting screws.
Finished by hand with your family Coat of Arms and Family Name. This is a beautiful addition to your front door, your porch, or the special door to your man cave or wine room. Handmade in Australia each item is unique and rustic.
PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE HAD TO CHANGE THE LETTERING ACROSS OUR ENTIRE SHIELD/DOOR-KNOCKER RANGE DUE TO THE OLDE ENGLISH STYLE NO LONGER BEING AVAILABLE.
Items will no longer be supplied finished with the Gothic Olde English style fonts, but are supplied instead with Times New Roman or Baskerville style letters.
When ordering a Family Crest Plaque, Coat of Arms Shield or Doorknocker – if you or a family member have knowledge or a sketch of your family Coat of Arms, we would need to have an indication as to what it may look like. Heraldry, being an exact science, still allows the Heraldic Artist some leeway in interpreting the blazon-of-arms and using their personal styles in depicting the various charges used in the heraldic language.
